How do I set mailto: links to use gmail?

I need to do this server-side.


I'm running a webpage and I don't want people having to try to figure out outlook or w/e they have set as default. As I recall there was a way to make all mailto: links open a gmail window with just to, subject, and body. Does anyone know the URL to that or the code necessary?

Users have to install them on their computers though.
