I have Gmail notifier installed and running and I used to be able to click on a mailto: link in Firefox and have Gmail open in a new tab/window. Now, when I click on such a link nothing happens...no error message or anything. I have Notifier set to use Gmail and their appears to be no settings within Firefox for setting a default email client. Any ideas?
Why have mailto links stopped working for Gmail?
try restarting firefox, then your computer. It may just be a tempory issue.
Try checking your settings, you may have installed a new toolbar or software that changed your defult mailto without your consent. ((Many toolbars can do this))
If that doesn't work try scanning for viruses and spyware using something like adaware.
If none of the above work, try uninstalling and re-installing firefox.
